CPU/CGI: Scholarship Policy (2026-27) on the Tuition Fee

Columbia Professional University under the aegis of Jan Pragati Educational society, offers its own scholarships, to promote education in the society. All Scholarships are based on Merit and Attendance in the class, Student & Employee Relationships, Gender, Date of Admission, Amount of Fee paid at a time, Alumni, Economic condition of the Parents, Services of Parents etc. All 9 Scholarships mentioned here by CPU/CGI are for the first year of Admission for all programs on Tuition Fee only, except when mentioned otherwise. There are no scholarships for B. Ed and D. El. Ed students. One student can avail only one scholarship out of 9 offered, out of the list given below, whichever is applicable to him/her along with 12^th serial number if applicable. Sr. No. 10,11 are for second year onward in subsequent years on merit and attendance.

A: FIRST YEAR OF ADMISSION-2026-27 (Sl. No-1-9)

Merit Based Scholarships:

Student Relationship-Based Scholarships: Siblings only (Real Brother-Sister)- 10% Scholarship is offered to the siblings of the students currently studying, valid only till the completion of the course of the elder sibling, i.e. previously admitted student.

Date of Admission based Scholarship: Early Bird scholarship  Rs. 3000/- only till 30^th June 2026.

Gender-based scholarship: 10% of tuition fee is offered for all Girls taking admission except for Faculty of Pharmacy.

Employee / Staff  of CPU/CGI-based Scholarship: if any student seeking admission is an employee of CPU/CGI, then the student shall be eligible for 30% scholarship (except Research programs). For Research Programs it will be 10%.

Alumni of CGI-based scholarship: if any student seeking admission is an alumni of CGI then he/she shall be eligible for 10% of scholarship (except Research Programs). For Research Programs it will be 5%.

Employee Relationship-Based Scholarships: (Mother/Father/Brother/Sister/Son/Daughter/ Spouse)- 20% Scholarship is offered to the students taking admission, if he/she is in direct blood relations of the employee, valid only till the employee serves.

Chancellor/Pro Chancellor’s Scholarships-Special Discretionary Consideration: Financially weaker sections /Special child/ student not specially mentioned in above clauses may be considered  at Chancellor’s / Pro Chancellor’s discretion.

Service-based Scholarships: Social Scholarships:

- 20% for the wards of serving and retired personnel of the Indian Army, Navy & Air Force, BSF, CISF, CRPF or who are physically challenged at the time of applying, duly declared by District Medical Officer from the District Hospital.
- 100% Scholarship for the wards of Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri.

B: 2ND YEAR (2027-28) ONWARDS- ATTENDANCE & MERIT BASIS  (Sl. No-10-11)

Attendance-based Scholarship: 10% Scholarship for above 90% attendance and 5% Scholarship 80% to 90% is offered.

Merit-cum Attendance- based Continuity of scholarship in subsequent years of study of any programs:

- 20% of Scholarship in subsequent years, for More than 85% in (theory & Practical ) classes taken together (if applicable), And more than 90% marks or 9 CGPA attained in the year of Admission in the University Examination.
- 10 % of Tuition fee in subsequent years, for More than 85% in (theory & Practical ) classes taken together (if applicable), And more than 85% marks or 8.5 CGPA attained in the year of Admission.

C: EXTRA FINANCIAL BENEFITS (OVER AND ABOVE) Section A & B above: (Sl. No-12)

Scholarships over & above section A & B above:

- for Total yearly Fee Paid at the time of Admission: (Total Fee =Tuition+ Hostel+ Transport): CPU offers extra 5% over and above any one scholarship (out of 10 mentioned above) of the Total Fee, if he/she pays the Total year fee at the time of admission, every year of his study.
- All Govt Scholarships are over and above any one mentioned above and given by Chhattisgarh Government scholarship (which directly goes to our eligible students as per Govt. policy and on our student’s application).

Notes/ General Terms and Conditions:  In case student gets full fees as bank loan and gets scholarship, then excess fees received will be refunded before the start of next semester. This is approved by the Management and supersedes all earlier scholarships circulated.
